Glitter Gothic - Glam Style

March 3, 2015

Glam goths or Glitter Goths are a part of perkygoth community and as such they just looooove bright colours, plastic accessories, keitchy childrens jewelry and glitter.
Glitter everywhere, in hair, on face, on clothes, shoes, bags, phones… If they don’t look like living, breathing disco balls, they are doing it wrong.

Getting inspiration in 80’s glam metal scene, with platform shoes, feather boas, anything with lighting bolts and stars, bright colours, animal prints and mixing it with black, pale and spikey goth look, sometimes is hard to believe they didn’t come from another planet.

Makeup is bright, crazy, over the top and glittery.
All the bright colours of the palette and creativity, stick on jewelry, rhinestones, face drawing and pretty much anything shiny.
But like any type of goth, black is the base, for makeup and clothes the alike.

Accessories are everything, 80’s styled, plastic, brightly coloured and of course, glittery, with classic goth imagery made to look childish and comics-like.

Glitter goths listen to various styles of goth music, tough they might be slightley more interested in electro styles and bouncier 80s pop, rock, new wave and such as Depeche Mode, The Cure, Danielle Dax, Gary Numan, Cyndi Lauper, New Order, Gene Loves Jezebel, Pink Turns Blue and the New York Dolls; darkwave bands like The Cruxshadows and Switchblade Symphony; electro, synthpop and cyber bands like Ashbury Heights, Mind.In.A.Box and Apoptygma Berserk
